Pathogens in food

PCR-based assays for food and environmental pathogen testing, including SureTect, RapidFinder and MicroSEQ.

Food-pathogen testing combines sample-specific preparation with molecular screening and, where required, confirmation. The linked RapidFinder STEC assay illustrates a real-time PCR screening workflow for defined E. coli targets in beef products. Other food matrices and organisms require their own documented assay workflows; a screening result is not interchangeable with a confirmatory result.
