Ion Chef automates preparation tasks within compatible Ion Torrent sequencing workflows, including Ion AmpliSeq library preparation, template preparation and chip loading. Cartridge reagents, a touchscreen interface and built-in quality checks reduce manual processing steps. The instrument is a preparation system, not a sequencer; the appropriate sequencing instrument and consumables are selected separately.
