UVT-S-AR is a DNA/RNA preparation enclosure with an illuminated work area, timed direct UV irradiation and an enclosed UV air recirculator. The manufacturer describes it for reducing nucleic-acid contamination during clean sample preparation. Its UV-cleaner function should not be confused with the containment function of a biological safety cabinet.
